My Favorite Summer Buys

Hi Wanderers!

I don’t know about you but being at home all day just makes me want to buy things. I have compiled some of my favorite buys from the summer. Here is what I have been wearing or using a lot though out these last few months. I have linked each item below. Also, if you don’t follow me on Pintrest I update that pretty often of products I want or like for fashion and home decor. If you are interested follow the link at the bottom šŸ™‚

Clothing

Blue Smocked Dress (link) – This dress is perfect for any little dress up day or afternoon. I wear it around the house sometimes just because of its comfort. I got it in a Medium because i didn’t want it to be so tight and I’m on the taller side so I didn’t want it to be too short. In the end it was a safe bet and it fit really nicely. I had been looking for a dress like this for a while and it was under $30 so I was happy with the purchase.

Yellow Playsuit (link) – This playsuit was just waiting for me to buy it. It was the last one left and in my size. I kept going back to it while heading to target throughout a few weeks time. Still always there. So I decided it was meant to be and I got it. Unfortunately, you still can not try anything on at Target, but I was happy when I brought it home and it fit nicely.

Basic Tanks (link) – I have been looking for some good and more form fitting tanks that I can just wear whatever bottoms I want with. I knew I definitely wanted a white one as I didn’t have one and then maybe a grey or colored one. Unfortunately, they were almost sold out of the one I wanted so I got white & black and they are both just perfect. I got a size small. BUT they have just restocked a lot so check online or your local store!

Daydream T-Shirt (link) – I mentioned in my previous post that my friend wanted to go to a surf shop in Newport and we went to check it out on her last day. They had some branded t-shirts so I decided to pick one up as the shop was super cute and the colors they offered were also a perfect summer tee.

H&M White Shirt (link) – I am so happy I purchased this shirt. Its so easy, light, and perfect for any day in or out of the house. I mostly wanted it for the beach so if I’ve been there most of the day and feel a little toasty I can cover up but not be too hot. I also love just wearing it as loungewear. Its something nice but not frumpy looking. All in all I am happy with this shirt!

Levi Mid-Length Shorts (link) – Saving the best for last in this category. These are possibly the best and most comfortable shorts I’ve bought in a long time. I love the length of them. They are not too long where they feel like bermuda shorts or anything. Also, they are a little frayed at the bottom so they don’t feel tight or restricting. I can’t say anything more about these other than you should keep an eye on them for when they restock.

Beauty

Essie Nail Polish (link) – I had seen that Essie came out with these express dry nail polis and wanted to try. I got Bolt & Be Bold + Precious Cargo-Go!. I have been wanting a green for so long and this one came out on my nails so nicely. They do a great job at drying quickly but honestly they chip pretty easily and don’t last a long time. They are great for a day or weekend wear if you aren’t doing dishes or going to the water those days.

Rose Toner (link) – My Pixi toner finally ran out and instead of getting another one I thought I would look for a cheaper alternative that would do the same job because Pixi in the US is very expensive. I had been seeing this bottle being advertised everywhere at Target so I thought I would try it out and it was half the price the Pixi bottle would be. So far I am enjoying it and it seems to be doing the same job.

Accessories

Canvas Tote Bag (link) – I had a nice over the shoulder bag for the summer but it really doesn’t hold anything other than my wallet, keys, and phone which is perfect but I wanted something I could fit a book or my kindle in so I bought this cute canvas tote from Romwe. It was a great price for a little summer bag to take to the beach and not really worry too much about.

That is all for now. I ordered and want to order a few more swimsuits so I’ll have to show those off when they come in. Hope you all enjoyed this post. Have a lovely rest of the week!

Reader Question: What has been your favorite buy this summer?

P.S: If you haven’t checked out my Etsy shop recently please do! I added more photos and going to add some homemade bracelets within the week! Also, one of my Instagram photos was featured on Target.com! You can see the photo on my Instagram, linked below as well.

My Week OOTDs – Out in London Town

Hi Wanderers!

In my last post I was out with my sister a lot in London and even if you just scrolled through it you could see what I wore, but I wanted to go into it more specifically and tell you why I might of chose those pieces and where they were from. So here we go!

*Most things are old so I did not link anything but let me know if you want to know links šŸ™‚

Friday | Dinner Night

On Friday night we went out to dinner with friends. I picked these pieces because the pants are fun and update the look to a bit dressy, but also because they are a thicker fabric and keep me warm when it is cold outside. The brown sweater, I got for Christmas, is so chunky and warm so its my new go-to as you will soon find out. Also, just a little tip, black and brown do not make a frown anymore!

  • Top – Black tissue turtleneck from J.Crew & a new brown chunky cropped cable sweater from Banana Republic
  • Bottom – palmer//harding ss19 trousers
  • Shoes – Black belted booties from Banana Republic

Saturday | Barbican Observatory & Spitalfields Market

On Saturday we had plans to walk a lot so i wanted to make sure I was comfortable. Also it was a colder day I so needed to stay warm. I kept it simple with a pair of jeans and a sweater. I wanted a bit of pop up color so that’s why i picked this jacket and my hair was not cooperating so i put this navy conductor hat on.

  • Top – Re-wore my brown chunky cropped cable sweater from Banana Republic. (Can you tell i love it?) Emerald coat from Banana Republic.
  • Bottom – light wash ripped straight leg 501 Levi’s
  • Shoes – All white Vejas

Monday | Concert

We stayed up pretty late the night before. All of us just enjoying each others company with a movie, dinner and some wine. So we slept in on Monday and lounged around the house watching the Happiness Begins documentary on Amazon Prime. I have been wanting to wear my new wrap skirt & tie-dye turtleneck I got for Christmas so this was the outfit I put together. Also I curled my hair for the first time in years! I missed it. Love the volume it gives.

  • Top – New long sleeve tie-dye turtleneck from Free People & re-wore my brown chunky cropped cable sweater from Banana Republic. (you guys, don’t judge me hehh)
  • Bottom – Button wrap jean skirt from Free People with black sheer tights
  • Shoes – Green suede boots from Free People

Tuesday | Victoria & Albert Museum

Now the museum days are upon us! In London there is no short of museums so we started at my favorite one the V&A. The had a lovely exhibit on Tim Walker’s photography and we arrived mid-day. I wanted to wear something comfortable as there is normally a lot of walking in museums but cool so I added the boots.

  • Top – Grey tissue turtleneck from J.Crew under my motorcycle charcoal grey cardigan from Banana Republic
  • Bottom – light wash ripped straight leg 501 Levi’s
  • Shoes – Black belted booties from Banana Republic

Wednesday | British Museum & Afternoon Tea

Next day, next museum! My sister wanted to go to afternoon tea so she saw that the British Museum had a restaurant that does afternoon tea so we booked a table there. We both dressed up a bit for the occasion. I put on my festive shirt and layered a bit to stay warm, then we were off!

  • Top – Black tissue turtleneck from J.Crew underneath my new palmer//harding sp20 floral front tie shirt.
  • Bottom – black cropped wedgie Levi’s
  • Shoes – Black belted booties from Banana Republic

Thursday | Imperial War Museum

As I dressed up the day before I was feeling super casual today so I put on my very comfortable wool pants. A classic button down that is so soft and my casual chunky sweater. It was perfect and warm for our day out to the Imperial War Museum.

  • Top – blue and white chenille stripe palmer//harding shirt with my Aerie oatmeal sweater
  • Bottom – black palmer//harding wool trousers
  • Shoes – Green suede boots from Free People

Friday | Park Day

After all of our days out and running around in the city my sister wanted to wonder around the area I live so we had a nice day in the park. It is only about 5 minutes from my apartment. I dressed super comfy in my leggings and cropped work out top. I layer on top of course with an oversized sweater and coat. (not pictured)

  • Top – Lounge/work out top from Old Navy
  • Bottom – black/grey camo Lululemon’s
  • Shoes – new Nike Airs

Saturday | Carnaby & Regent Street

What better way to spend the end of a trip with some good shopping and excellent Indian food. We headed down mid- afternoon so we had enough time to shop and put our names down for a table. It felt colder that day so I went for the classic Nikki look, which is jeans and a big sweater. When I don’t want to think about what I put on I go straight for this look. Never fails.

  • Top – my husbands very large charcoal grey sweater from Banana Republic
  • Bottom – black cropped wedgie Levis
  • Shoes – all white Vejas

That is all ya’ll! Hope you enjoyed this post. Not sure what I will post next so let it be a surprise for all of us šŸ™‚ Hope you all have a lovely rest of the week.

Reader Question: What is your go to look? What do you feel most you and comfortable in?

Winter Skincare Routine

Hi Wanderers!

It has actually been a busy weekend and week for me, which is odd, but really nice. I wanted to keep going with my winter routines so I made a skincare one. I hope you all enjoy this post and maybe find it helpful or useful to you. Also, can you believe it is already December? I can not wait to go back home to Texas for Christmas. What are your Christmas plans? Are you traveling anywhere? Let me know in the comments.

Cleanser

I feel like I keep talking about the Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Cloud Cream Cleanser, but it is so freaking good. Such a nice texture and it feels so lovely messaging it in to the skin day and night. It is not stripping at all! It moisturizes while cleaning. I don’t think I could praise this cleanser enough.

Exfoliator

I exfoliate about once a week after I cleanse my face. I have two main ones that I use. First is the Clarins Gentle Refiner Exfoliating Cream which is great and what I use when I really feel like a need to get some dead skin off and rejuvenate my skin. The second is the VƘ Rose Gommage Peeling Gel. I love this one and I use it when I need a little buff. It is not a harsh scrub, but it does the job and it does it well.

Makeup Remover

I don’t wear makeup often, but most of the time, when I do, it is concentrated on my eyes so a good eye makeup is needed. I use the Clarins Instant Eye Make-Up Remover and it is a God send! Like one swipe and gone! This is another product I will always re-buy as soon as it empty. It is a needed product in anyones skincare cabinet.

Toner

Toner is my favorite part of my skin routine. Ever since I started using it it has changed my skin for the better. At the moment I am using the L’Oreal Paris Fine Flowers Toner and I bought it because I am on a budget and heard good things. I do think it does the job, but I am still in love with the Pixi Glow Tonic and believe the price for this product is worth it! I hope to purchase this again soon.

Moisturizer

I think I found my favorite moisturizer. I recently purchased the Clinique Moisture Surge after my other moisturizer ran out. I wanted something that was really hydrating for the winter because my face can get really dry during these months. I wanted a good brand with good quality and I had heard good things about this product. The texture is amazing and jelly like. It goes on so nice and your skin really does feel nice and hydrated all day!

Masks & Peels

When my face is feeling extra dry I put on the GlamGlow ThirstyMud. It is so nice. You can put a good amount on and use it as a mask and rinse off or you can blend it in and keep in on over night, which is what I normally do. I also recently bought The Ordinary Peeling Solution. Wow is this stuff really work your buck! It is a game changer and I could see a difference in the evening of my skin tone and my acne. Plus you only have to have it on for 10 minutes twice a week and BAMB! On the weekend I like to make sure my skin is all good and ready for the week of makeup/work and my Elizabeth Arden City Smart Peel-Off Mask really helps with that. Not only is it fun to peel off after it dries, it helps with smoothing and brightening the skin.

Oils

Normally I don’t use my Clarins moisturizer at night and instead I use the Kiehls Midnight Recovery Oil. This stuff smells like lavender and I feel it even helps me go to sleep. When I wake up my skin feels so nice and rejuvenated for the day. It is the only night oil I have tried, but I am not really planning on trying anything else soon. I did my research before buying it and I believe it is so worth it.

Body Creams & Oils

I still need to get more of my Rituals Happy Buddha Body Cream because I use it after every shower. It is the best lotion/body cream I have ever used. It isn’t sticky or oily after I put it on, which is the biggest thing for me when I am using lotion. I hate that feeling of being slippy. I also use the Nuxe Florale Dry Oil after every shower, but I only use it on my chest, neck, & shoulders. What is good about this dry oil is you can use it on your face, body, & hair. I still haven’t used it on my hair, but I might try that out this week since I have now reminded myself. Also, it smells freaking amazing!

I put out another IGTV! I don’t use all the products that are on this post because it is my daily morning cleanse, but you get to see my main products that I do use every morning and night.

please excuse my bed head. eekk.

I hope you all enjoyed this post! I always love informing my readers on amazing products that actually work. I feel like I have tried out so many things in the past few years and putting this post together has shown how much my skincare routine has changed and grown for the better. I am pretty proud of myself because I used to not care so much and my face literally shows that I do now. Love that. Also, I am doing a full review of The Ordinary Peeling Solution so keep an eye out!

Question for you: What is your favorite skincare product? Out of everything in this post I think my cleanser is my favorite product.

Winter Makeup Routine

Hello Wanderers!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!! I hope your day is filled with family, friends, and good food. Now that winter is upon us and the cold and dry weather has changed my makeup products and i would like to share my updated process with you! I have found and received most of these products from Birchbox and so happy I did. Here are all the products I use for my everyday look.

Marcelle BB Cream

I use this BB Cream as my foundation. I have never really been a fan of actual foundation. I feel like it always made my skin feel masked and dry and oily all at once. Not a good feeling. But this BB Cream is amazing. I got it in one of my Birchboxes and it is one of 2019 best products. It feels thick but it feels really light once it is put on and it has great coverage for BB cream. If you are looking for a new BB cream try this!

Glossier Boy Brow – Clear

I have had this bad boy for so long and honestly I could use a new one. Let’s just say it will happen around Christmas time when I am out shopping. I do love the clear one, but I think I want to try to pigmented ones next time. The clear one is great for a natural everyday look.

Floss Beauty My Everyday Eyeshadow – Maui

Love this stuff! It is a great color and it really brightens the lids and adds some nice color to an everyday look. It is easy to apply and it stays on, which is always sought after. I would love to get more from this brand.

Glossier Lidstar – Cub

I have never tried a liquid eyeshadow and I absolutely love it. It goes on so nice and this color/shade is to die for. Sometime I just use this by itself on my eyelids when I am in a rush. Just dab is on there and rub it in with a finger. Annddd done! I want more shades in this for sure. Again, I’ll be waiting for Christmas time. I do think this is the best shade to start with though. It is not brown or pink, but a nice shimmer mix between the two.

ModelCo Highlighting Shimmer Whip – Champagne

I have never really been a fan of highlighter or used it at all before now, but I have to say this is a great one. It doesn’t make your skin look oily, which is what I was always afraid of. I put this on either high cheekbones to around the temples and then on the bridge of my nose.

Benefit Posietint

This is a great quick why to apply blush. Like the eyeshadow, this is my first liquid blush and I am diggin’ it. I use a little on my lips too to give them some color. When I apply this I made sure to get my cheeks, obviously, but the tip of my nose too!

Beautaniq Beauty Nourishing Mascara

This is a great first layer, or only layer, of mascara. It is a nourishing mascara that helps with eyelash growth, which is perfect. When I first got this I would use it by itself, but now use as a first layer to my routine and I like the feeling that at least some part of my makeup routine is benefiting me in other ways than visually.

Marcelle Xtension Plus Curl Mascara

Here is that brand Marcelle again. It is the same as the BB cream I use and I am beginning to love this brand. I love the curl mascara. It really adds length to my lashes. I like how this a nice travel size too so I keep it in my purse, but I can’t wait to purchase the full size soon!

Glossier Generation G Lipstick – Cake & Zip

I don’t think I could praise this lipsticks any more! When I got them I purchase a nude color called cake and a red color called zip. I love both of them equally, but use them for different parts of life. Cake I wear everyday and zip I put on for evenings or outings. These are great and you can really build with them. If you want it more muted you just do one or two layers and layer it on more for more color.

I have embedded my first IGTV of my winter makeup routine. I will be doing a skincare one next week. I plan on posting more of these so follow me if you want to keep up!

I hope you enjoyed this post and my IGTV video. Let me know if you like this sort of thing. I didn’t want to go crazy and go straight to YouTube to make videos so I think this is my best option.

AW19 Trends | Bottoms Edit

Hi Wanderers!

It is time for the bottoms edit of the aw19 trends series! My favorite thing is to wear some jammin trousers or a rockin skirt in the fall with some boots and a sweater. Who wouldn’t love those combos? Here are some inspirations for this season’s trends and key pieces of what I have kept an eye on.

Inspiration

Skirts, pants and jeans! Here are some pictures I have taken from Instagram feed for inspiration this season. I love the plaid skirt. It is so different and the highlight of the look. Also, the leather trousers to complete the all black look, but with the red sandals is so great! Adding a oversized long coat over that would top it off! I have been looking into jeans but with some cool updated details. I love this crossover zipper. It keeps this light wash jean super fresh for the fall and winter season.

Wishlist

On my wishlist I tried to hit all the sides of the bottoms category. Honestly it was hard not putting only jeans on here, but I found some other amazing pieces. The mini skirt is a great pieces you can pair with calf length or over the knee boots. I have been searching for some great dark wash jeans that are simple and that I can wear with anything and I think I found them. These are definitely number one on my wishlist right now. You can’t go wrong with a simple black silky skirt and man are they everywhere so they will be easy to find. The slouchy pants/jeans trend I love! The one I linked comes in 8 different colors/washes and they are at such a great price. The midi skirt reminds me of my inspiration picture, but more practical for everyday. Also, these corduroys are great and add some spice to a normal look!

  2. Levi 501 dark wash jeans – link
  3. & OtherStories Skirt – link
  4. Zara Slouchy Jeans – link
  5. Banana Republic Midi Skirt – link
  6. Madewell Wide Leg Cordoroy – link

Favorite Shops

  1. Levi’s – This is my first stop when looking for jeans that I know will last me a lifetime. Literally. I purchase these with the mindset of always having them. Last year I purchase black wedgie jeans and a light wash pair of 501’s. I definitely want to purchase another pair of 501’s. They fit like a dream and they form to your body after a number of wears.
  2. Banana Republic – I love looking for trousers/pants here. They always have a great selection. Yes, some might be a little buisness-y, but they make everything with great quality. Again, I know I will have them for a long time.
  3. Zara – I always love looking at this sight for the trendy pieces that are out for the season, but most of the time I will use it as another source of inspiration. I only buy here if I really love them.
  4. Urban Outfitters – I love BDG jeans here. They fit me so well and when they go on sale I always take a little browse. The pans they carry are nice too.
  5. American Eagle – I have bought so many pants from here and I love all of them. My favorite are these green cargo pants with paint splatters on them. They are so cool. I am pretty sure I have had them for 5 years now.

I hope you all enjoyed this edit! I have linked my past edits below šŸ™‚

Question for you: Where do you buy your bottoms? jeans? skirts? Let me know in the comment section below!

November Birchbox Product Reviews

Hi Wanderers!

The November Birchbox is in! I love the box. It is so cute and Frozen 2 themed! In this box there was makeup, skincare, and hair products. I have already sampled all of the products so I have reviewed each product for you.

Also, I will be taking a step back from posting to only once or twice a week, but the posts will still land on Monday, Thursday or Saturday so stay tuned!

Lisa Watier Rouge Gourmand in Gingerbread – 5/5

I love the color of this lipstick. It is a nice color between a mauve pink and brown. Also, it goes on super smoothly and it is moisturizing to have on even after being on for a few hours. This is a great color for the holiday season coming up and I am excited to use it more.

Bodyography Lip Pencil in Timber – 4/5

The ‘timber’ shade is a little darker than I thought, but the lip pencil is really nice. It is creamy and I like that texture of the pencil when applied. I don’t know if I would actually buy this color, but I would buy this brand and the lip pencil line.

INC.redible Sparkle like a Unicorn Illuminating Sheet Mask – 1/5

This mask is awful. First off, it only fits people who have large heads and small faces. It didn’t even fit around my eyes! Normally masks fit my face pretty well, but with this one I put it on and was annoyed after 2 minutes of it being on. Normally these sheet mask have some stretch and this one did not have any! I am not a fan of this mask at all and I will not be purchasing this brand in the future.

BlancĆØme Blue Lagoon Exfoliating Shower Gel – 3/5

Honestly, I didn’t think this exfoliator gel was that great. It wasn’t different from any other one that I have used and it didn’t have a great smell. I mean who doesn’t love a good smelling body gel? Overall, yes it works, but I would pick other good exfoliating shower gels before this one.

SGX NYC The Do It All Dry Texture Spray – 4/5

I don’t really like dry shampoos and think that it doesn’t help your hair in any way. Although these are my view, I do like this spray. It does the job and if I were to purchase a dry shampoo I would get this one. It works as a three in 1, which is nice. It is a volumizing, hairspray, and dry shampoo spray.

All done! To be honest I enjoyed last months box a lot more than this months. I just hope they have a good one coming for December!

PS. I have past the 80 post and 300 follower mark and I want just wanted to say how grateful I am to the readers and followers! Thank you all.

AW19 Trends | Outerwear Edit

Hello Wanderers!

We are back to the trends series! Next edit is the outerwear. I thought you couldn’t get enough knitwear, but sometimes outwear can be pretty close to that statement too. Honestly, I don’t buy outerwear often and when I do want a certain coat or jacket it is normally too expensive than I can afford, but they are perfect to put on your Christmas lists!

TIP: This season check in the mens section. Coats are a perfect unisex item so don’t be afraid to shop the boys section. Sometimes they have better stuff than us. Take advantage!

Inspiration

I am loving the color that is coming into stye this season for all outwear. Also, the style of the jacket such as the ‘shacket’. The other big trends are patterns such as: checks, houndstooth, & color blocking. Lastly, I don’t know if you have noticed, but a lot of runways and trendsetters are showing blazers as outerwear this season. I can’t wait to use this one and wear a nice chunky knit underneath.

Wishlist

My wishlist has been accumulating for a while and I am excited to share it. Some are trend driven, but some are great for outwear basics. One basic i love is a leather jacket and switching up a color you may not have can enhance your wardrobe. Also, I am loving the rust color for coats. It is a perfect color for the fall. Lastly, I am not a huge fan of the puffer jackets, but these new ones from the Uniqlo x JW collaboration are so nice and completely reversible! It’s like 2 in 1.

Featured List:

  1. the cargo jacket – Uncle Studios
  2. plaid wool coat – & Other Stories
  3. reversible puffer jacket – Uniqlo x JW Anderson
  4. Faux Leather Trench – ASOS
  5. Dark brown leather jacket – Freepeople
  6. Trapeze coat – Jigsaw

Favorite Shops

  1. ASOS – This is a great online shop as there are my different brands and their own brand to choose from. They always do a great job with their selection. I am excited to keep an eye out for the great sales around the holidays! Check these out: pullover jacket & shearling parka.
  2. &OtherStories – I don’t think this shop could do wrong. Even though the price can be steep, they have great quality and beautiful designs. Their outwear is so wearable and they do both basic and on trend items. Here are more outwear pieces I am loving from them. Links: beige blazer, black coat, jacket.
  3. Massimo Dutti – I think this is the best place for basic outwear pieces. Such beautiful quality and colors. Sometimes I look through this place for inspiration even. Styles i’ve been eyeing here: short parka, leather trench, denim jacket, & cord jacket.
  4. Banana Republic/ J.Crew – Any time I go to the US of A I try and purchase something from these stores. They do great basics, but use updated and trendy colors and styles. Here are others that I like from Banana: faux fur jacket, houndstooth coat, hooded jacket. Also, JCrew has beautiful coats this season. Here are a few of them: daphne coat, plaid coat, & lodge coat.
  5. Old Navy – I have a great jacket from here and it has lasted me forever! I was a expensive price for Old Navy but it was so worth it. This is such a great store for price conscious shoppers, but worth the price per wear. Check out these outerwear pieces: peacoat, zip jacket, 3-1 parka.

We have reached the end of the post! I hope you all enjoyed another edit of the trends for this season. Also, I hope all these links have helped you find your new favorite coat!

October Beauty Buys & Empties

Hi Wanderers!

Happy Halloween! Hope you are all have some fun plans today or this weekend. October is now at it’s end and I wanted to post about some beauty products I purchased and things that have run their course. Also, I have linked each product below.

Beauty Buys

My cleanser had run out so I need to purchase a new one and I wanted to mix it up. I have been wanting to try this cloud cleanser from Peter Thomas Roth. I have bought their lotion before and I have heard good things so I felt pretty confident about my purchase.

The next thing I ran out of was my facial cotton pads and instead of buying and buying these I decided to invest in reusable ones. These were the top rated and cheapest ones I found on Amazon. They are actually so nice! They came with a laundry bag, which is perfect and it is a pack of 20 so it is enough to wash between 2 weeks apart.

Empties

My first empty product was my cleanser, which is why I bought a new one. This was a great cleanser! I would have bought it again, but I wanted to try something new, but I definitely recommend this product.

Next was this RESTORE candle from M&S. I love it so much. The candle has cedar wood, eucalyptus, & lavender scents. It is so calming. I love lighting it in my bedroom before I go to sleep. It is like a sleep pillow mist, but better! I am already planning on getting another one, or a few, to put around the apartment.

Lastly, is my favorite body lotion ever! Ever since it tried Rituals as a sample in my Birchbox last year I fell in love. I used to hate body lotion. I hated how it could be greasy or sticky or how it took so long to dry, but this doesn’t do any of that. Also, the Happy Buddha smell is great! It is a sweet orange and cedar wood scent. Also, what is nice about this product is that you can buy the refill so you don’t have to throw away the container.

Another thing that was empty was my cookie jar! I made these sprinkle sugar cookies and they were amazing. Seriously so good. They didn’t last long. Here is the recipe I used. Linked Here.

Welp, that is it. I hope you all enjoyed this post and have a great Halloween day! Let me know if you want a full review of the cleanser. I have been thinking about it, but have a lot of post in the works.

AW19 Trends | Knitwear Edit

Hello Wanderers!

At the moment, I am listening to Fleetwood Mac, drinking a coffee while it is raining outside and I don’t think it could feel more like fall. It is sweater weather time! Here are some of my inspirations, a wishlist, and also my favorite places to shop for knitwear! I want to do a post series of AW19 trends. Obviously, I am starting with knitwear, but I will do bottoms, outerwear, accessories, & shoes. Here it goes!

Inspiration

There two bloggers I follow and were gifted these knitwear co-ords from COS and wow am I wanting to get me a pair! Each of them have their own clothing lines. Allegra Shaw’s (left image) brand is called Uncle Studios. Megan Ellaby’s (right image) line called Saturday has great sweaters. I haven’t bought one yet, but I definitely would like to this year once her new line as been released.

Wishlist

For my wishlist I am trying to think of colors that I don’t already have in my closet like the green one, which I absolutely love! Also, I added a knitwear skirt and trousers which are lovely and comfortable yet cozy for the colder season.

Featured Items:

  1. Freepeople Sweater
  2. Massimo Dutti Knit Skirt
  3. Massimo Dutti Sweater
  4. H&M Jacquard Knit Jumper
  5. H&M Cashmere Trousers
  6. Paloma Wool Navy Sweater

Favorite Knitwear Shops

I do my best to buy sweaters that are quality and that will last forever. All of my older sweaters are from Banana Republic and they have outlasted their price per wear! I know high street stores have some great knitwear prices, but I try to stay away from them unless I know it is a quality product.

  1. Freepeople – They always have the best and most comfy sweaters. Their cashmere nes are amazing. Although the price is high they are great to ask for for Christmas or birthdays. OR just wait for the sale šŸ™‚
  2. Massimo Dutti – I love this store so much! The minimal style is just what I love and strive to wear everyday. They are also a bit pricey but the quality is worth it.
  3. &OtherStories – They have great statement sweater with cute motifs and bold colors. If I ever want to have a little fun I start here. They also have great jewelry, but that is for another day!
  4. COS – This is a recent favorite. They have great simple styles, but they normally differ in a small detail or design, which I alway veer towards. Can’t wait to buy more for the fall season from here.
  5. ARKET – They mostly have classic knitwear pieces and update the colors of the season. What I look for here is not really their sweaters, but the other knitwear categories like sweater dresses, knitted jackets, or cardigans.

Also, here are more links of knitwear I love: ASOS sweater, Gap sweater, Freepeople sweater, & Banana Republic sweater.

Hope you all enjoyed this post and hope you enjoy this series. I am excited to write the outerwear one! Let me know where ya’ll get your knitwear pieces from.

Have a great weekend!

Wedding Post | Bridesmaids Dresses

Hello Wanderers!

How do you and your bridesmaids decide on a dress? It can be difficult to all agree on ONE dress. Luckily, I only had three other bridesmaids, but for some reason I feel like some peoples bridal parties get bigger and bigger every year. Anyways, here are some of the things I thought about when choosing the bridesmaids dresses.

Steps, Tips, and What to Think About:

  • When thinking and deciding on the dress first thing was picking the color.
  • Once you have chosen your wedding dress you can see what styles would work best and look best next to your wedding dress.
  • Think about the weather. You don’t want your bridesmaids to be uncomfortable!
  • Price is a big part of it as well. Talk to your friends and see what their budget it.

Inspiration:

I wanted something strappy for the hot temperatures and something flowy or lightweight as well. To pick to color of the bridesmaids dress with my dress it was a little bit complicated because my dress was not white or creme, but platinum. At first I was thinking green, rust, or navy, but they were not very summer-y looking and I didn’t want the bridal party to look heavy in that way. Also, I wanted a midi-length dress, but the rest of the party disagreed. You win a few and you loose a few.

What We Chose:

After looking on Pinterest, for a long time, I took the search to some department stores. Since, 3 out of the 4 bridesmaids are in the United States I looked for stores located in the US of A. I mostly kept to David’s Bridal as it has a lot of options and brands. Also, they have a good price range. i was really stuck on one of the dresses I found. My sister, my best friend, and mom went to one of the stores to try it on. They really liked the style and it had many color ways so via Skype the final one was decided on!

I loved seeing it all come together. For shoes and jewelry, I let them pick whatever they thought looked good with their dress. There was silver, gold & a pair of mustard heeled sandals.

Hope you enjoyed this post and that it helps you and your bridal party finding the perfect dress for the big day!

*Let me know in the comments what other wedding post you would like to see. I already have a few in mind, but I would love to know if you guys want anything specific.
